Not everyone finds that scuba diving suits them, so Snorkeling is one way many people can visit some of Playa's Mexican Caribbean reefs and see lots of different tropical fish, a variety of marine creatures, turtles and coral formations. Some of the reefs that we visit on our snorkeling tours include Mokche, Inha, Punta Maroma and Punta Venado. The reefs we visit range in depth between 2 to 5 meters (6 - 15 feet). Two of these popular reefs (Mokche & Inha) are within a short distance from our beach location.

Mokche Reef is a quick 10 minute boat ride north of our location. It has a depth of 3m/9ft, is quite long and has easy conditions and is home to a variety Caribbean reef fish, various marine creatures, coral formations and color.

Inha Reef is a 25 minute scenic boat ride south and is the shallowest of the reefs we visit. It is close to the shore which acts to protect it from stronger currents and waves found at the deeper reefs. It has a maximum depth of 2m/6ft, easy conditions and is home to a variety Caribbean reef fish, various marine creatures, coral formations and quite often turtles. Even on those days when the sea is slightly rougher the inner part of Inha Reef remains perfectly safe for snorkelers of all ages and abilities.

Snorkel the Cenotes (Sink holes)
Snorkeling Trips don't need to go into the ocean, they can be inland as well. These are the Cenotes or sink holes where the roof of the underground river system has fallen in are set in the Mayan Jungle. We can take you to one of the most beautiful snorkeling sites in Mexico. You go snorkeling in the cool fresh waters of the cenote.
It is also a tour that you can do no matter what is happening at the sea! The Cenote tour leaves in the morning at 8.30 am.
Allow yourself between 4 1/2 - 5 hours for this tour.
